Training:

You should first come out with us on a cruise to see if:
   a) you get seasick
   b) to see how the instruction is organized

The process for first time volunteers is to watch the instructors and ask any questions you can think of.  We will provide handouts and reading material about the plankton and seawater stations for your information and we can find other curricular materials as you need them.

Once you decide to join our program, come on as many cruises as you need to feel comfortable about instructing one of the stations as an assistant.  As you get more comfortable with the material, we will assist you in leading the station, then let you do it alone if all are satisfied with how the day goes.
